Hi. My main interest is computer vision, and making it work in the real world. I am currently employed by Reveal Ltd where I lead the development of a Linux based visual surveillance system used in pedestrian traffic monitoring.
I have a PhD in Engineering from Harvard University, and a BE in Engineering Science from Auckland University. I was a postdoc at Oxford University working on autonomous guided vehicles, and worked at the British Petroleum Reseach Centre in Sunbury-on-Thames on image-processing systems for subsea vehicle control. I also worked at IRL, concentrating on the aquisition and interpretation of 3D data.
I enjoy programming my machine at home, contributing in the past to amanda and currently to opensched.
